LEAVITTSBURG - Scott “Scottie” L. Hartz passed away October 14, 2017.  Scott knew the Lord, and that gives us comfort to know he is in his loving arms.

Scott was born in Warren on February 23, 1961, the son of Stanley “Bruce” and Edyth “Edie” Hartz.

Scott worked for Nelson Tree Service for 28 years and was still employed there at the time of his passing.

Scottie was a gentle soul who was very compassionate with a big heart.  He loved sports and nature.  He was loyal and loving to his family and friends.  Scottie never had a bad word to say about anyone.

Scott will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Scott is survived by his parents, Stanley “Bruce” and Edyth “Edie” Hartz; a brother, Sidney (Jamie) Hartz; a sister, Kathy (John) Keeler; two nephews; two nieces; and three great-nieces.

Arrangements for cremation are with Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.  No services are planned at this time.  Please celebrate his life with a prayer of love.
