VIRGINIA MAY BYRD-78-

Youngstown- Virginia May Byrd, 78, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman, OH with her family at her side. She was born on February 20, 1943 in Martins Ferry, OH to Robert L. Mobley and Mary Ann Lucas.  She was a dietitian/Cook for Gillette Nursing Home in Warren. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, shopping, HGTV Food Network, and watching Family Feud. She attended Eastside Church of Christ in Warren and was on church council and ushers board. She leaves to cherish her memory her children; David “DJ” Brogdon, Avery Danage Simone, Pauline Jones “Tommy”, Debora Seawood, Lynetta Turner “Stephen” Wendelin “Wendy” Byrd, Caretta Byrd. Her sister; Lorana Simmons. 23 Grandchildren, 29 Great-Grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He also, reared two godchildren; Derral Bradon and Felicia Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; William James Byrd A. funeral service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 12 noon at Eastside Church of Christ 1750 Niles Ave Warren, OH 44483. Friends may call at the church one hour prior the time of the service. Interment will be at Belmont Park Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio.
