Vaughn E. Johnson

CHAMPION – Vaughn E. Johnson, age 59, longtime resident of Warren, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 13, 2020 at his residence.  He was born April 6, 1961 in Pennsylvania, the son of Vohn and Vernice Johnson Davis.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Vaughn retired from General Motors after thirty-two years of employment at both Packard Electric and GM-Lordstown.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Precious memories of Vaughn live on with father, Vohn Johnson of Youngstown; his mother, Vernice Davis of Warren; his stepfather, James Davis of Warren; his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Dolores (Shaver) Johnson, whom he married June 28, 1991; two daughters, Erica Johnson of Warren and Amber Johnson of Columbus; two grandsons, Isaiah and Amori Johnson; one sister, Vurnise Johnson of Howland; three brothers, Vincent and Anthony Davis, both of Warren, and Calvin Harrison of Columbus; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved him and miss him dearly.

Memorial services for close friends and family only are 11:00 am Friday, June 19, 2020 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park. Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home. Please wear a mask upon entering the funeral home.  Social distancing practices will be observed.
