Thomas M. Kusnir, Sr. 84, of Warren, passed away, Monday, November 9, 2020 at 8:54 a.m. in Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Home in Howland.
Tom was born Wednesday, October 28, 1936 in Cleveland the son of the late Michael and Veronica Piskorik Kusnir and was a lifelong area resident.
A 1954 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Warren, Tom was a union representative for Bricklayers Local #43.
He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife the former Janet Akins Kusnir whom he married on September 14, 1990; two sons Thomas M. Kusnir Jr. of Warren, Richard (Dena) Kusnir of Howland; a daughter Kathy Moore of Maine; two stepsons Charles (Kelly) Fitch Jr. of Niles and Van (Patty) Fitch of Wisconsin; a stepdaughter Constance (Alan) Houk of Alliance; a brother John (Nancy) Kusnir of Port St. Lucie, Fl; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; eleven step grandchildren and sixteen step great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a son Jamie Kusnir; sister Dorothy D’Andrea and brother Don Kusnir.
A Private Graveside service will take place at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the Wounded Warriors Project 600 River Ave Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
