Thaddeus Rizzi, 52, of Las Vegas and formerly of Warren, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh due to complications from a brief illness.
He was born June 1, 1969 in Warren, the son of Nicholas M. Rizzi and Dianne M. Dicks.
A 1987 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Thad furthered his education in Computer Science at Youngstown State University until 1991. Thad held various positions at multiple firms in the IT and computer technology field and was currently employed as an IT Specialist and Manager with Penn Gaming in Las Vegas.
Thad was a beloved son, husband, father, uncle and doting grandfather with hundreds of close friends and colleagues. Thad was an avid sports fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers. He enjoyed traveling the country; gaming in Las Vegas; hiking the mountains of Nevada; listening to rock music and playing guitar.
Thaddeus is survived by his wife the former Tiffany L. Spade whom he married on September 12, 1997; his mother Dianne M. Dicks of Warren, his in-laws Gary and Linda (Fulks) Fincham; his children Abigail R. Rizzi and Nicholas J. Rizzi both of Las Vegas; a grandson Henrik Wojtowitz of Las Vegas; his siblings Sam (Hillary) Rizzi of Centreville, VA; twin brothers Evan (Taylor) Rizzi of Youngstown, and Eric Rizzi of Warren and eleven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Nicholas M. Rizzi.
Family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:50 a.m. in the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 12 Noon in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Gerald D. Gammon, pastor of First Church of Christ in Warren as celebrant.
Burial will take place on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Thad’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
