Sheila A. Alfrey, 69, of Bazetta, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2021 while surrounded by her family after suffering at massive stroke on December 22nd.
Sheila was born on August 16, 1951 in Warren, OH to Nellie (Binion/Booth) and Adrian Alfrey. Sheila had a total of 10 siblings.
She attended Lakeview and Howland Schools, graduating in 1970. In her early years, Sheila worked as a receptionist in the ER at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She became an LPN in 1992 and continued to work at Trumbull. Sheila also worked at various nursing homes and did home healthcare.
Sheila was known for running late, but she arrived at the Lord’s door early. She was known as a talker- always talking to anyone, at any time. She always had a story to tell and knew someone, or at least something about them. She enjoyed reading, history, and watching her shows. Sheila liked to visit farmers markets, listen to live music, and loved good food. She was an adventurer and loved to travel. She was known to hop in her car and hit the road, often driving down south. She loved her road atlas and could tell you how to get anywhere.
She will be missed by her children Jeremy (Jamie) Parker, Jodie (Steve) Gibson, Katie (Chris) Freeman, her grandchildren Kelsey and Kristen Lucas, Gabe and Ethan Freeman, Chelsea Gibson, Miranda (Turner) Antonsen, Reagan and Ryan (Mason) Rosenberger, and great-grandchildren Hayden and Reece Lomax. She leaves behind her beloved cat, Honey Girl. Also surviving are her siblings Ray Alfrey, Marilyn (Robert) Qualters, Karen Booth, Sandy Johnson, and Randy Alfrey.
Sheila is preceded in death by her parents Nellie and Charlie Booth and Adrian and Mary Alfrey, along with 4 brothers.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Friends may call 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. Visitors are asked to practice social distancing and wear masks.
Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
