Ronald J. Sibera, Sr.,85, of Howland Township, entered peacefully into eternal life on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 3:30 PM in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family under the comforting care of hospice.
Ron was born Wednesday, August 29, 1934 in Warren the son of the late Victor and Frances Golembowski Sibera and was a lifelong area resident graduating from Warren G. Harding High School.
In his working career, Ron worked for Van Huffel and in 1964 traveled to Canada to operate and run tube mills there; returning in 1968 to work for many years with the Charles Kline Company. Ron retired in 1996 from his own company Youngstown Tube in Youngstown which he owned and operated for 34 years and still was owner until his death.
Ron was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish-St. James Catholic Church in Warren.
He was a member of the Elks and was an avid bowler. Ron enjoyed traveling and trying his luck at the casinos playing blackjack. Most of all, Ron was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Ron is survived by his wife of 60 years the former Therese Marhefky; a daughter Sherry (Linda Reid) Burns of Orlando; a son Ronald J. (Gabriella) Sibera Jr. of Orlando; and four grandchildren Kaelin (Jason Mesches) Burns, Brandon Sibera, Tiana Sibera and Dylan Sibera. He is also survived by his sister Delores Naples of Niles and nieces Denise and Lisa Naples.
Besides his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother Victor J. Sibera.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. John Trimbur officiating in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish-St. James Catholic Church 2532 Burton St. SE, Warren. Everyone is asked to please meet directly at the church. Those in attendance are asked to please follow social distance guidelines and facial coverings are highly recommended.
Burial will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Warren.
