Roberta Ann (Mulholland) Harrington

Roberta Ann Harrington, 84, of Howland, entered peacefully into eternal life on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 1:08 PM at Shepherd of the Valley of Howland.

She was born Monday, January 6, 1936 in Warren the only daughter of the late Robert Meeker and Ethel Thompson Mulholland and was a lifelong area resident graduating from Warren G. Harding High School in 1954.

Roberta retired in 1993 from the Howland Local Schools where she served as secretary at Howland Middle School.

She was of the catholic faith a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish Community in Warren.  Roberta loved to sing, dance and was an avid reader.  She enjoyed traveling and riding motorcycle with her husband, Jack.  Most importantly, Roberta loved being with her family and was an animal lover.

Roberta was married on June 11, 1960 to John “Jack” E. Harrington, Sr. and he survives.  She is also survived by four children Robert Patrick (Patricia) Harrington of Champion, Dr. Barbara A. (husband Mark Boyts) Harrington of Howland, Jennifer E. Harrington of Youngstown and John Edward (Holly) Harrington Jr. of Canfield and by five grandchildren and one great grandson.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. in the Gathering Space at Blessed Sacrament Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the church with Fr. J. Patrick Manning, PhD, officiating.  Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be directed to Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care, Birds of Flight Sanctuary or to Animal Welfare League.
