Robert Pearson Obituary
Robert E. Pearson, 86, formerly of Warren, entered peacefully into eternal life on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 6:25 a.m. at The Suites at Continuing Healthcare of Niles following a courageous battle with COPD.
He was born November 22, 1935 in Warren, the son of the late Francis E. and Virginia Davis Pearson, and was a lifelong area resident.
Bob was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and enlisted into the United States Army Air Force and served his country abroad in Germany, where he played basketball.
In 1993, Bob retired from the former Copperweld Steel Corp in Champion, where he was Superintendent of the cold draw department and worked for 35 years.
He took a poke at politics by being elected as a 3rd Ward Councilman for the residents of the City of Warren. He was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed watching all of the Ohio Sports Teams, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.
Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years the former Judith Ann Preston whom he married on March 28, 1959; two daughters Tracey (Joey) Crawford-Freeman of Floral City, Florida and Heather (Matt) Creed of Brookfield; five grandchildren Hallie (Mark) Fabian, Carter Creed, Nicole (Joe) Willis, Amber and April Crawford; and by six great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Margaret Stoian of Florida.
Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sherry Rae Pearson; and by two sisters, Helen Hilty and Joann Flowers.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service, and a caring cremation will take place.
