Robert Jones

Robert Jones, 72, of Bazetta, entered peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 5:14 p.m. in the emergency room at Trumbull Regional Medical Center after becoming stricken at home with cardiac arrest.

He was born Tuesday, July 20, 1948, in Warren the son of the late Troy and Gertrude Hurst Jones and was a lifelong area resident.

Affectionately known as Bobby by his family and friends, he was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School.  For 27 years, Bobby was an auto technician at Cole Valley in Warren before retiring on July 20, 2012.

He was a member of St. John Paul II Parish in Warren. 

Bobby loved the Cleveland Browns and Indians and was also an Ohio State Buckeye fan.  He enjoyed NASCAR and listening to blue’s music in his garage.  Bobby enjoyed sitting on the deck sipping a beer with watching the squirrels and eagles overhead.

He is survived by the love of his life of 40 years, Pauline Pakulniewicz, whom he married on March 2, 1985; a daughter Melissa (Brett) Berry of Bristol; a sister Jackie (Steve) Long of Tempe, AZ; brothers-in-law Daniel and Walter Pakulniewicz and by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a daughter Stephanie Beatty; by a brother Dale M. Jones, by a sister Judith Boser and by a sister-in-law Catherine Hammercheck.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. in St. John Paul II Parish, 420 North St., Warren, Ohio 44483.

A Mass of Christian Burial, with Fr. Frantisek Katrinak officiating, will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021, in the church.

Entombment will take place in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Robert’s name to American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
