Richard "Ace" Stottlemire Obituary

NILES – Richard “Ace” Stottlemire, age 64, peacefully passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital in Youngstown.  A lifelong area resident, he was born June 1, 1959 in Warren, the son of Richard Stottlemire, Sr. and Delores (Jack) Stottlemire Zrioka.

A welder and mechanic by trade, Richard was a member of the Brothers Regime motorcycle club. While he enjoyed charity work, fund-raisers, attending “Church”, and spending time with his family he was also well known for being a good time and doing exactly as he pleased. He was known for going above and beyond for anyone who needed help.  He was an animal advocate who took in his more than his share of dogs, cats, and other animals.  He was a larger-than-life man who lived peacefully, detested drama, and would have absolutely hated even this much attention.

Precious memories of Richard live on with his longtime partner, Cheryl Carbone of Niles; two daughters, Cherie Ashby of Columbiana and Renee Harshman of Southington; one son, Richard Stottlemire of Southington; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Diana Edmonds (Art) of Greenbush, Mich. and Fayelynn Kneubehl of Niles; and a multitude of nieces and nephews, as well as his Brothers in spirit.

Preceding him in death are his parents and stepfather; one brother, Randy Stottlemire; and three sisters: Pamela Mills, Susan Obradovich, and Denise Baugh.

According to his wishes, cremation is taking place.  Services are private.

Arrangements are entrusted to Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, 330-394-6200. Dedicated To Serving Your Loved Ones. This obituary may be viewed and condolences sent to www.statonborowskifuneralhome.com.
