Raymond C. Wilkins

GIRARD – Raymond C. Wilkins, age 77, lifetime area resident, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at his home, after a lengthy illness.  He was born August 3, 1943 in Liberty, the son of Lawrence and Bernice (Stauffer) Wilkins.

A graduate of Liberty High School, Ray worked his career selling used cars, and for many years was the used car manager at Jim Pace Pontiac.   A member of IFH in Girard and ARC and the American Legion in Lake Milton, he enjoyed bocce and NASCAR, and was a great fan of the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He made friends easily and loved spending time with them.

He is sadly missed by his loving wife of sixteen years, Judy (Stier) Lusher Wilkins, whom he married August 14, 2004; two sons, Jeff Wilkins (Tina) of Canfield and Raymond C. Wilkins, Jr. (Kathy) of Pennsylvania; one stepdaughter, Cheryl Evans (Phillip) and her son Sebastian of Bristolville; one stepson, William Lusher of Liberty; four other grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Linda Wyatt (Bud) of Beloit; three brothers: Rich  Wilkins (Jeannie) of Cortland, Larry Wilkins (Barb) of Columbus, and Chuck Wilkins (Tammy) of Liberty; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Lawrence and Bernice Wilkins, and one brother, Gary Wilkins.

Private services will be held at a later date. Per his request, cremation is taking place.
