Peter R. DeMalio

HOWLAND – Peter R. DeMalio, age 85, lifelong area resident, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.  Born December 14, 1934 in Warren, he was the son of Peter and Mary DeMalio.

Peter was raised in Niles and graduated from Niles McKinley High School. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he worked as a truck driver for G.M. Williams Trucking. He was a faithful and longtime member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing and fixing cars.

Precious memories of Peter live on with his five children: Christy Biello (Edward) of Vienna, Robert DeMalio of Jewett, Ohio, Kelly Leal (Charles) of Jupiter, Fla., David DeMalio (Lori) of Weirton, W. Va., and Valerie Stack of Franklin, Tenn; nine grandchildren: Anthony, Dawnie, Chandelle, Sarah, Lindsey, Chas, D.J., Savannah, and Aden; seven great-grandchildren: Blake, Bianca, Brayden, Colton, Baker, Parker, and Bryson; and one sister, Margie Augusta of Florida.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Peter and Mary DeMalio; his beloved wife of sixty-two years, Marjorie (Means) DeMalio, whom he married July 13, 1957 and who passed March 9, 2019; one granddaughter, Alesia DeMalio; one sister, Jean Pasquale; and one brother, Ron DeMalio.

Services are 11:00 am Monday, October 26, 2020 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 129 W. Park, Niles.  Interment will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery.  Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Monday at the church.
