Patricia Ann Taylor Hoover, 79, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2021, at 6:30 pm at Acordia Senior Living in Winter Haven.
Patricia was born Wednesday, May 6, 1942, at her maternal grandparents’ home in Brookfield, Ohio. She graduated from Greenville High School, Greenville, Pennsylvania. She ran a Brownie Troop before her marriage to James Dewey Hoover on August 24, 1963, in Clark, Pennsylvania.
While her sons were in Cub Scouts, Patricia acted as their troop leader. She worked on 5 North at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for many years and drove school bus for the Lakeview Local School District in Cortland, Ohio, for 20 years.
Patricia enjoyed camping, reading, sewing, baking, and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband and children traveled extensively in their campers, and she enjoyed her pets tremendously.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Dewey Hoover of Winter Haven, Florida, her sons Michael (Margaret Derbyshire) Hoover of Syracuse, New York, and Jeffrey (Ellen Sanzo) Hoover of Northfield, Ohio, and her grandchildren Stephanie (Charles Redford) Hoover of Ware, Massachusetts, and Ian Rudy of Syracuse, New York, as well extended family members.
Visiting will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Rd NE, Warren, Ohio, with services immediately following at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland, Ohio.
