Nancy L. Filkorn Bindas

WARREN – Nancy Lee Filkorn Bindas, age 86, lifelong area resident, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at home.  She was born December 18, 1933 in Warren, the daughter of William and Ellen (Sabo) Filkorn.

Nancy was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and a member of St. Mary’s Church in Warren.  She retired from St. Joseph Health Center, having worked many years as a medical librarian.  She enjoyed skiing, gardening, canning, baking, sewing, making corsages, and was an animal rescuer through the Trumbull County Animal Welfare League.

She is sadly missed by her sister, Mary Ellen Heltzel; her brother, Paul Filkorn; her caregiver, Mary Crago; and many nieces and nephews who adored her.

Preceding her in death are her parents, William and Ellen Filkorn, and four brothers: William, Jr., Thomas, Robert, and Carl Filkorn.

Services are 11:00 am Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery.  Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
