RAVENNA – Melanie S. Brooks, age 60, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 26, 2023 at her home. She was born September 9, 1962 in Ravenna, the daughter of Robert and Janet (Moscorelli) Brooks.
A graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and Kent State University, Melanie worked as a paralegal. An avid photographer, she enjoyed scrapbooking, collecting cookbooks, and cooking with her great-nieces and great-nephews. She was an encouraging soul who was fond of saying “make it a great day.”
Precious memories of Melanie live on with her three brothers: Virgil Brooks (Denece) of Lehigh, Fla., Allen Brooks of Canton, and Bobby Brooks (Jamie) of Cape Coral, Fla.; five sisters: Deborah White (Dwane) of Newton Falls, Brenda Nolf of Atwater, Robin Nolf (Mike) of Alliance, Rhonda Brooks of Rootstown, and Annette Hayes of Akron; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Her parents precede her in death.
According to her wishes, cremation is taking place. No services are scheduled at this time.
