Cortland- Mary Strope  “Memom” passed away at her home with her family at her side on Thursday, October 7th. She was born on December 28, 1934 in Greene County, PA to John and Laura Simms. She loved to watch TV, play on her iPad, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Believers Church. She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Kelly Strope of Cortland, Terry Smith of Howland her grandchildren: Shannon, Jesse, Sarah, Josiah, Samuel, and Libby, her great-grandchildren: Deanna, Victoria, Lenora, Torben, and Liam. She was preceded in death by her husband; Harold and her son-in-law David. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 12noon. Friends may call one hour prior to the time of the service. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Cortland, OH.
