Margaret A. Eckles

WARREN – Margaret “Max” A. Eckles, age 67, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 5, 2023 at home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born August 15, 1955 in Orwell, the youngest of nineteen children born to Archie and Minnie (Stolph) Eggleston.

A graduate of Grand Valley High School and Kent State University, Max worked for many years as the administrative assistant to the vice-president of Kraftmaid.  She enjoyed music, gardening, traveling, concerts, and her animals.  Max was a fantastic dart player, raised monarch butterflies as a hobby, and loved the simple things like spending time with her family and friends.

Fond memories of Max live on with her daughter, Miranda Hitzler of Warren; her son, Cody Eckles (Jaime) of Warren; four grandchildren: McKenzie Root, Keonna Smith, Dante Smith, and Javon Smith; one great-grandson, Jaxson Root; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and their families.

Her parents precede her in death.

According to her wishes, cremation is taking place. Her life will be celebrated with a gathering at a later date.
