Lawrence Harrison Obituary

Lawrence “Larry” Harrison passed away on Monday, November 28th, 2022.  Larry was born on July 5th, 1950 to John J Harrison & Margaret E. Wright.He graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1968. 
 

Larry loved music, good wine, cooking, the Cleveland Indians and Boise State. He loved adopting older dogs and gave them a loving and warm place to call home.  Larry also enjoyed teaching those around him about the things he loved. Larry was employed at US Steel in Youngstown, Ohio was a Wine Consultant at Alberini’s in Niles, Ohio, and also worked at Ohio Steel (Warren Fabricators) in sales.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Thomas (Marilyn), and sister, Susan. 

He is survived by his brother Michael (Kathy, deceased), sister Rose Taylor (Daniel) step-sister Charlene Ondich (Joe), and step-siblings Greta and Kirk Shultz. Larry is also survived by his nieces and nephews, whom he loved with all of his heart; Tamra Lucas (James), Scott Harrison,  Becky Harrison (Abigail Lien), Jill Harrison (Ryan Light), Julie Popovich (Mirko), Susan Manfredi (Nicholas) and Victoria Collins (Christopher), as well as numerous greatnieces and greatnephews. He is also survived by his best friend and extended family member, Richard (Gloria) Catterlin. Dr Richard Catterlin took incredible care of Larry throughout his life and until he passed. Larry’s entire family, both immediate and extended, was his world. He loved them immensely and always made sure they were taken care of.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Larry on Saturday, December 10th at 5:00 at Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church at 420 N Raccoon Rd in Austintown. The family kindly asks that anyone attending, to please RSVP by calling/texting Rose at 330.540.0490, or sending an email to suzmanfredi25@gmail.com.
