Lauretta Cooper

Warren - Lauretta Cooper, 71, passed away on May 22, 2023, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, OH. Lauretta was born on July 31, 1951, in Bessemer, Alabama, daughter of the late Jimmy Lee and Lula Mae Hudson.

Lauretta was a member of the New Covenant Church of God in Christ and was a bus aid for TCAP. She loved kids, cooking, church, and the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 35 years, Peter Cooper, whom she married on April 22, 1988; sons, Mario (Latonya) Hudson, Anthony James Hudson and Michael Lee Hudson; daughter, Lula Shawntea Blackwell; brothers, Jimmy Hudson, Terry Hudson an Jackie Hudson; sisters, Evelyn Vail and Patricia Bernard, nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Lauretta was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Ricky Hudson, Timothy Hudson, Carl Hudson, and Earl Hudson.

Friends and family will be received from 10am to 11am, Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Greater St. John Church of God in Christ at 419 Highland Ave. SW, Warren, OH 44485. A funeral service will be held at 11am at the church with Johnny L. Austin Sr. officiating. A burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Warren, OH.
