Larry Thellman, 67, of Leavittsburg, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Washington Square Nursing Home in Warren. He was born March 15, 1951 in Warren, the son of the late James and Catherine (Carter) Thellman.
In 1970, Larry graduated from Warren Western Reserve High School. He joined the U.S. Navy the same year. He later worked 35 years for WCI Steel, retiring in 2012 when the mill closed.
Larry enjoyed collecting antique clocks and repairing them, and going to flea markets to search for Bobbleheads, hat pins, and old coins. He liked watching old movies and riding his motorcycle. He was an auctioneer until this year.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Cindea Thellman, whom he married December 21, 1989; three children: Patrick (Mary Lou) Thellman of North Carolina, Rebecca (Raymond) Sadler of Boardman, and Christopher Thellman of North Carolina; two stepdaughters, Rachael (Billy) Bobbit Cindea of Warren and Amanda (Amos) Cindea of Warren; ten grandchildren; and two sisters, Karen Thellman of Leavittsburg and Sandy Kravas of Florida.
The family would like to give a special “thank you” to Washington Square Nursing Home and Harbor Light Hospice for outstanding and compassionate care of Larry until his passing.
A service will be at 11:30 am Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Crown Hill Burial Park, with Bob Favor of Pleasant Valley Church officiating. Burial will follow the service.
