L. Michael Whitehead

HOWLAND – Michael Whitehead, age 68, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Continuing Health Care in Niles.  He was born January 24, 1952 in Ashland, Ky., the son of Glenn and Doris (Barber) Whitehead, and lived most of his life in Ohio.

Mike worked at Republic Steel for thirty-five years, retiring in 2005.  He was a member of the NRA, ABATE, and had done volunteer work for Susan G. Komen and breast cancer.  He liked to go to the gun range, and when younger, took several trips on his motorcycle to concerts and other places.  He had also been a very good pool and guitar player.

He is sadly missed by his son, Zevon Braun-Whitehead of Howland, and his former wife, Rhonda Braun of Warren.

His parents precede him in death.

Per his wishes, there are no services or calling hours. Cremation is taking place.
