Kenneth P. Amrein

WARREN – Kenneth P. Amrein, age 69, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 26, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.  He was born December 10, 1953 in Havre de Grace, Maryland, the son of Paul and Elizabeth (Testerman) Amrein.

Ken graduated from Bel Air High School in Maryland and worked many years in sales for Newman Seafood in Warren.  He loved fishing, horse racing, and watching the Indians/Guardians from the first pitch to the last out.  He was a connoisseur of big bowls of ice cream and, like a true Marylander, crabs and crab cakes.  He was an all-around good guy and chef extraordinaire at North Park Avenue Baptist Church.  He was a Browns fan and had been very active with Warren G. Harding football when his sons played.  To his neighbors, he was a friend, a hand in need, and a lifeline.

Precious memories of Ken live on with his loving wife, Sandra (Cook) Amrein; three sons: Joel Brown of the Virgin Islands, Joseph Amrein of Warren, and Jacob Amrein (Madison) of Cortland; one granddaughter, Kailani Brown of the Virgin Islands; and two nieces, Stacie Young (Nick) of Liberty and Kallie Vaughn (Jason) of Hubbard, along with their families.

His parents precede hm in death.

According to his wishes, cremation is taking place.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
