Katherine "Kay" C. Cross

CORTLAND – Katherine “Kay” C. Cross, age 89, departed this earthly life for the joys of the next Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Ohio Living Lake Vista.  She was born March 27, 1931 in Adams County, Pa., the daughter of John W. and Maria (Griest) Clapper, and moved to Warren in 1954.

Kay worked in repairs at Packard Electric and was a member of Cortland Trinity Baptist Church for over forty years. 

Precious memories of Kay live on with her two sisters, Queen Wileman of New Oxford, Pa. and Betty “Peg” Deatrick of Hanover, Pa.; many nieces, nephews, and their families, who loved her dearly; and her church family, with whom she did so much.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her beloved husband of nearly fifty-four years, Mickey L. Cross, whom she married October 23, 1965 and who passed May 5, 2019; six sisters; and five brothers.

Services are 3:30 pm Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Cortland Trinity Baptist Church, 2576 McCleary-Jacoby Rd., Cortland, with Rev. Dan Barker officiating.  Burial will take place privately Thursday at Crown Hill Burial Park.  Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday and 2:30 to 3:30 pm Wednesday at the church.
