Katherine Bowman

WARREN – Katherine Bowman, 78, passed away on January 12, 2023, at Liberty Healthcare. Katherine was born on March 3, 1944, in Sharon, PA to the late Herbert Raymond Fuller and Emma Jane Roberts Fuller.

Katherine was a 1962 graduate of Sharon High School. She went on to further her education at Penn State and graduated in 1966 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. She was a teacher at Warren City Schools for 33 years and retired in 2004.

She was a member of the AAUW (The American Association of University Women), Delta Kappa Gamma Society International which promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. 

Katherine adored her grandchildren. She would go above and beyond to attend all their activities including swimming, band, piano recitals and track & field. She loved spending time with her family and friends at their cabin in the Allegheny National Forest and going to card club with her friends.

Katherine is survived by her children: Julie (Christopher) Wilson of Liberty and Charles “Chad” Bowman of Poland and three grandchildren, Jakob Bowman, Alyssa Wilson and Evan Wilson.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Fuller.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren, Ohio. Friends and family may call from 4:00 to 6:00 pm prior to the service.
