Justin L. Sakonyi

Justin L. Sakonyi, 42, of Leavittsburg, entered into eternal rest Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born May 22, 1976 in Warren, the son of Frank, Sr. and Gaye (Aurand) Sakonyi.

A graduate of LaBrae High School, Justin worked in landscaping and in a restaurant.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and enjoyed all things Star Wars, but his greatest joy came from his family.

He is deeply loved and sadly missed by his wife, Christeen (Robertson) Sakonyi, whom he married August 15, 1998; twin sons Prestin and Tyler Sakonyi; a daughter, Lydia Sakonyi; a sister, Bethany (Tom) Mirka of Ostrander, Ohio; a brother, Frank, Jr. (Jessica) Sakonyi of Wisconsin; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Cathleen Robertson of Leavittsburg; two sisters-in-law, Denise Robertson (Samuel Geddes) of Newton Falls and Melissa Robertson (Talif) of Warren; a brother-in-law, Michael, Sr. (Aronie) Robertson of Masury; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents; two angel babies; and a niece, Scarlett Mirka.

Services are 7:00 pm Friday, January 11, 2018 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, with Rev. Mitchel Meadors officiating.  Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for a trust fund for the children.
