MECCA TOWNSHIP – Julie A. Evanov, age 45, entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 25, 1975 in Lorain, the daughter of Arthur and Rita (Hoelzer) Schmidt.
Julie worked as a manager for Honey Baked Hams and enjoyed playing Bingo, playing cards, cooking, fishing, camping, and all things outdoors.
She is sadly missed by her devoted husband, Michael “Catfish” G. Evanov, with whom she was together since 1994; three children: Hope Schmidt-Evanov of Warren, Lauren Robinson (Donald) of Munroe Falls, and Lianne Bergy (Michael) of Kent; four granddaughters: Ava, Jade, Emma, and Lila Rose; one sister, Flo Holbert of Cleveland; two brothers, Arthur of Sheffield Lake and Larry (Jodi) Schmidt of Jefferson; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Albert and Rita Schmidt, and one sister, Louann Sanders.
Services are 2:00 pm Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Friends may call 1:00 to 2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Masks are required, and social distancing practices will be observed.
