Warren - Joseph Roy Nosse, age 78, of Warren, OH, died Thursday evening, November 9, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Warren, OH. He was born in Cleveland, OH, on January 20, 1945, the son of Joseph and Rose (Kraitz) Nosse.

Joe grew up in Trumbull County and entered service in the Navy in 1965. During his service in the Navy, he spent 17 months at sea traveling the globe from Asia to the Mediterranean and his awards and recognition included a Good Conduct Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with device. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1972 and had since regaled his family with fond memories of his travels and the food in Singapore, Barcelona, and Greece. He was a Master Butcher, eventually owning Smoking Joe’s Country Meats in Jefferson, OH, and later in life became an award-winning Insurance Salesman for American Income Life in Cleveland, OH. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his eight grandchildren, but above all else, he loved to cook for and prepare food with his family. He will be dearly missed by his friends and loved ones.

Joe is survived by his five children: Jennifer Hartzell and her children Dane, Sammantha, and Zach; Jill Nosse and her children Kimberley and Kaitlin; Joseph G. Nosse, his wife Aubrey, and his daughter Eloise; Daniel Nosse, his wife Anna, and his daughters Olivia and Penelope; and Gregory Nosse. He is also survived by his two sisters, Shirley Eizember and Adrienne Nosse. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Larry Nosse.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00PM to 5:30PM, Sunday, November 19, 2023, at The Grand River Manor, 1153 Mechanicsville Rd, Geneva, OH 44041.
