WARREN – John E. Verbosky, Jr. age 74, lifelong area resident, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 1, 2023 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born January 25, 1949 in Warren, the son of John E., Sr. and Evelyn (Johnson) Verbosky.
A graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, John served his country honorably in Vietnam in the U.S. Marine Corps, receiving a medical discharge and several decorations. When he came home from Vietnam, he was in the Presidential Guard. He became a lifetime member of the DAV. He worked for Koppers, American Welding, and Thomas Steel, and also was an antique dealer for over thirty years.
John was a master gardener who widely shared his vegetables. When he was younger, he was an avid hunter. Mostly, he was a people person who was friendly to everyone and liked to hang out with his buddies.
He is sadly missed by his loving wife of nearly fifty-two years, Betty Ann (Sanders) Verbosky, whom he married December 13, 1971; two children, John C. Verbosky (Yuriko) of Bethel Park, Pa. and Rachel D. Verbosky of Ingram, Pa.; two grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ellen Sroka (Joseph) of New Jersey; and one brother, Robert Verbosky (Susan) of Cortland.
Preceding him in death are his parents and his brother, James Verbosky.
According to his wishes, cremation is taking place. No services are scheduled at this time.
