Jerald "Scott" Pease Obituary

It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Jerald “Scott” Pease, 59, of Bristolville announce his passing early Sunday morning, May 30, 2021, at Mercy Health St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

Scott was born August 9, 1961, to parents Shirley and Jerald Pease.

Scott was a 1979 graduate of Lakeview High School where he was a proud Bulldog athlete excelling as both a football and basketball player. Following high school, Scott attended Hiram University where he earned a bachelor’s degree.

Scott went on to work at Diane Sauer Chevrolet where he was the finance manager, a dedicated employee, and friend, and to his coworkers for over 25 years.

Scott married and joined families with the love of his life, Vivian (Morelli) Pease, on July 3rd, 1998. Scott and Vivian were blessed to share over 23 years of marriage together and were known amongst their friends and family for being the couple who created memories by bringing people together, hosting innumerable events full of fun and levity.

Although famous for his incredible sense of humor, practical jokes, and story-telling abilities, Scott was also an extremely hard-working and loyal individual. He gave to his family members and friends, in any way he could. Scott spent the majority of his free time with his wife, children, and grandchildren because Family was everything to him.

Above all else, Scott’s family asks that he be remembered for the humble, loyal, thoughtful, kind, considerate, funny, and fun-loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend that he was. Scott had an extraordinary ability for making every human being he spoke to feel understood and valued for who they are, and it is for these amazing qualities, and many more, that Scott will forever be so deeply missed.

Scott is survived by his loving wife; Vivian, and children; Taylor (Shannon) Pease of Cortland, Brian “Joseph” (Marla) Pease of Auburn, Ryan Pease of Champion, Tiffany BenAmoz of Champion, and Matthew (Megan) Hinkle of Toledo, Ohio; his adoring grandchildren; Noah Scott BenAmoz, Jack Pease, Conner Pease, Brynn Pease, Easton Hinkle, Grant Pease, and Hope BenAmoz; his sister and best friend; Jill (Michael) Gross; his niece Jessica Gross; his nephew Jacob Gross; and by his father; Jerald (Marilyn) Pease , as well as many extended family members and friends.

Scott is proceeded in death by his mother; Shirley; and beloved grandparents; Jesse and Roberta Pease.
