James "Mac" McFadden Obituary

James William “Mac” McFadden, Sr., 83, of Windham, entered peacefully into eternal life on Christmas Day 2021 at 5:50 p.m. at Country Club Rehabilitation Campus in Newton Falls following a brief illness.

Jim was born July 30, 1938, in Buckingham Courthouse, Virginia, the son of the late William Meredith and Berta Bryant McFadden.

Jim was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and served as a sharpshooter with Battery C 4th Battalion, 3rd Artillery, 1st Armed Division out of Ft. Hood, Texas and was honorably discharged on May 8, 1962.

He owned and operated an Amish taxi service notably for Al Miller Construction for twelve years and owned and operated Mac’s Plumbing during his more than fifty years in Windham.

Jim is survived by his wife of thirty-three years the former June Thomas whom he married on December 15, 1988; his children and step children James W. (Lisa) McFadden Jr. of Falling Waters, WV, Jamie (Dan) Bowers of Newton Falls, Staci McDaniel of Toledo, Deanna Miner of Gloucester, VA, Tonia (Justin) Nenzoski of Streetsnboro, Jennifer McFadden of Newport News, VA, Sherri (Sean) Feather of West Richland, WA; by numerous grandchildren; and by a brother John McFadden of Windsor, SC.

Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his siblings Elner Slayton, Shirley Pannell, Lawrence McFadden, Dorothy Liptrap, and Andrew McFadden.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 6, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, January 7, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Windham Cemetery, Windham Township, Ohio.
