James Mallas Obituary
James Mallas 85, of Warren, Ohio entered peacefully into rest on May 23, 2022, at 4:05pm, at Trumbull
Regional Medical Center in Warren. James was born the son of the late John and Artemis (Koutsodontis)
Mallas on May 10, 1937 in Chios, Greece. He was employed with the Dresser Industries for 19 years and a
member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren. James enjoyed Gardening and the Greek Coffee
House.
He was the youngest brother to Maria Kontos of Warren, Vasilios Mallas of Chios, Kyriaki Mallas of
Chios. James leaves to cherish his memories loving wife, Aneza (Glaros) Mallas, daughter, Effie (Kyriakos)
Katros, son, Markos (Dayna) Mallas and was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Anastasios, Demetrios, Nikolaos,
Maria, Aliya and Marissa. He also leaves many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
He is preceded in death by his parents, I brother, Vasilios Mallas, 2 sisters, Maria Kontos and Kyriaki
Mallas.
Funeral Services will be 11 :00am, Thursday, May 26, 2022, at St. Demetrios Hellenic Greek Orthodox
Church in Warren, where visitation will be I hour prior to the services at the church. Rev. Fr. Constantine
Valantasis officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren, Ohio.
In liue of flowers material contributions can be made to the church.
