Irma Jean Anderson-Edmonson, 88, received her heavenly wings on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:58 p.m. at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born on June 26, 1933.
The eldest daughter of the late Ernest and Henry Mae Brogdon Anderson. She was a January 1952 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She was a graduate of Trumbull Business College.
Irma retired from Packard Electric Division of General Motors Corp. after 31 years of service. She managed a woman’s dress shop in downtown Warren for several years. For numerous years, she was a wedding coordinator and an event planner.
She was a loyal member of Grace A.M.E. Church serving in various capacities: President of Stewardess Board #1 and #3, a member of Usher Board #2, the Louise Currie Missionary Society, Helping Hand Guild and she served faithfully on the Culinary Committee.
Irma’s civic affiliations include: Charter member and past President of the Warren Civic League, pianist for 33 years for Mizpah Chapter #66 O.E.S., past President of Everyone’s Birthday Social Club and poll worker for the Trumbull County Board of Elections.
Irma’s beautiful life will be cherished by her daughter, Adrian R. Green of Warren; granddaughter Kiera C. Green of Warren; one sister Sarah A. Jennings of Warren; special niece Simone Jennings Baugh of Warren; goddaughter Lynn Hughes of Los Angeles, CA; her fiancé’ Hersey Scippio of Warren and her lifelong friend Lesly Edmonson of Warren; a host of nieces and nephews that she held dear to her heart along with many relatives and friends.
Services of remembrance will take place at Second Baptist Church, 1510 Main Ave S.W. Warren, Ohio. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. and Homegoing Services at 10:00 a.m. Masks are required and social distancing will be upheld.
