Irene D. Seifert

Warren – Irene D. Seifert, 92, passed on from this life on April 28, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, to be reunited with her husband, Paul J. Seifert Jr., who preceded her in death on December 17, 1979. She was born on January 17, 1931, in Warren, Ohio, to the late Frank A. and Caroline Elizabeth Drabinak.

Irene graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1949. She had great admiration and respect for the Notre Dame sisters who staffed the school. Prior to her marriage, Irene was employed as a secretary at the former Trumbull Savings and Loan Bank. During her marriage she was a homemaker. After the death of her husband, she was employed at Hillside Hospital, retiring in 2005 at the age of 74. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, St. James Church in Warren.

She is survived by her son, Scott Seifert, Mark (Cindy) Seifert and Dean (Dawn) Seifert. She took great pride in her closely knit family which included 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She called them her true treasures and each baby a gift from God.

Besides her parents and husband, Irene was preceded in death by a son, Paul J. Seifert III; two grandsons, Matthew and Joseph Seifert and one great grandson, Justin Seifert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., Monday, May 8, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, St. James Church at 2532 Burton St SE, Warren, OH 44484. Family and friends can call one hour prior to the service at the church. Committal will take place following the service at All Souls Cemetery.
