Warren-Howard R. Lutz, 78, of Cortland, passed away, Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 10:06 a.m. in his home under the comforting care of hospice.
He was born September 2, 1942, in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son of the late Howard and Maxine Isler Lutz.
Howard received a master’s degree in education and taught grade school for Champion Local School District.
He was a member of Fowler Community Church. Howard enjoyed going to Mosquito Lake, stamp collecting, was an avid reader and enjoyed playing basketball. Howard believed there was their “B”s in school, Books, Birds, and Basketball. He also coached basketball and volleyball.
He is survived by his fiancé Nancy Craig of Cortland; a son Brian Lutz of Windsor; a brother Ben (Laura) Lutz of Rome, Ohio; a sister Beverly (Sheldon) Everhart of Florida; two nephews Craig and Collin; and by a niece Robin. He was survived by his ex-wives; Mary Summerlin, Joanne Taylor, Janie Lutz. His stepchildren; Greg (Joanne) Taylor, Brad Taylor (Lisa) Taylor. His grand children; Maddie, Cater, Zach, Norah, Jenna, Olivia.
Family will receive friend on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the church.
A Funeral Service, with Pastor Joel Dickson officiating, will take place on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Fowler Community Church.
Burial will follow in Windham Township Cemetery, Windham, Ohio.
