Helen L. Anderson, best known as Peg departed this life Wednesday November 11, 2020 following a brief battle with Breast Cancer at the home of her niece Tina (George) Ervin. She was 89 years old. Peg was born on September 22, 1931 in Greenville Tennessee to John Willie and Annie (Lyons) Anderson. Peg was the oldest of 4 children including brothers, John Anderson (deceased), Jerry Anderson (deceased) and sister Priscilla Anderson- Dawkins (deceased). Her father John Willie would later marry her second Mother Lula Anderson giving her sisters, Thelma Anderson (Gate City, VA), Johnny Mae Higgins (Greenville, TN) Barbara Ann Jones ( Savannah, GA), Dortha Black (deceased) and brothers Willie Anderson (Greenville, TN) and Richard Merriweather (deceased).
Peg attended County High School in Greenville Tennessee before she moved to Warren, Ohio. She worked in Hospitality at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for most of her career before retiring. Peg became a home maker and was known for her immaculate style of housekeeping. She enjoyed her morning coffee, afternoon Soap Operas and evenings with Steve Harvey watching Family Feud. Peg loved flowers, she enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors.
To cherish her memory, she leaves a son Alan D. Anderson of Cleveland; two Granddaughters, Tasha (Derwin) Antoine and Jamila (Rickey) Drexler of New Liberia, Louisiana. Great- granddaughter Daria Simone Antoine and Great- grandson Kennedy Cole Drexler. A special niece, Taneesha Dawkins, grand-niece Christina D. Anderson and a host of other family and friends.
