NILES – Harry W. Miller, age 99, entered into eternal rest Monday, November 2, 2020 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. He was born October 2, 1921 in Garrett, Pa., the son of Blanche (Boden) Miller, and was raised by his grandmother.
Harry served his country honorably during World War II in the U.S. Army. He worked in maintenance for Howard Johnson’s Restaurants for thirty years, and enjoyed gardening, trimming hedges, and painting.
He is sadly missed and forever loved by his four children: Robert P. Miller (Gina) of Niles, William E. Miller (Carol) of Niles, Louise J. O’Neal (Jeff) of Lake Wales, Fla., and Gary R. Miller (Debbie) of Niles; and nine grandchildren, including Billy and Aaron who were “buddies forever with Pap,”
Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Lucile (Oakman) Miller, whom he married in 1952 and who passed in 1987; and one great-granddaughter, Courtney Miller.
Services are 3:00 pm Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Friends may call 2:00 to 3:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Masks are required, and social distancing practices will be observed.
Interment will be at 9:30 am Thursday at Kerr Cemetery.
