Georgia A (Marsh) Gilbert

Georgia A. Gilbert, 92, of Warren, entered peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 10:15 PM in Gillette Nursing Home in Warren.

She was born Sunday, January 8, 1928 in Warren the daughter of the late George E. and Mary B. Foley Marsh and was a lifelong area resident.

A 1946 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Georgia furthered her education by attending Warren Business College.

Georgia was employed with the City of Warren as an administrative assistant for 33 years retiring from the Street Department.  She enjoyed playing Bridge, doing cross word puzzles and watching TV. 

Georgia was of the catholic faith and a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Parish Community in Warren.

Fond memories of Georgia will forever be remembered by her daughter Marsha Pressly of Howland, her daughter-in-law Joanne Gilbert of Howland; four grandchildren Christopher (Sara) Gilbert, Kenneth (Sabrina) Gilbert, Robert (Logan) Hileman and Daniel (fiancée Rachel Sain) Pressly; three great grandchildren James and Meredith Hileman and Giuliana Gilbert; her longtime companion Robert “Bob” Bollas of Warren and by several nieces and nephews and their families.

Besides her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her son Calvin Gilbert; two brothers John E. and Robert Marsh and by two sisters Elizabeth Landers and Rosemary Smith.

Family will receive friends on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. in the Gathering Space of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

A Mass of Christian Burial with Cremation will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2020 in the church with Fr. Christopher Cicero as celebrant.

Inurnment will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.

The Family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to either, American Welfare League, Warren Family Mission or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Georgia's name.
