Genevieve M. Thellman

GARRETTSVILLE – Genevieve M. Thellman, age 98, formerly of Warren, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at The Arbors at Streetsboro.  She was born December 30, 1921 in Warren, the daughter of Clarence and Zora (Eaholtz) Allard.

A devoted and “classic” wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who enjoyed cleaning and ironing, Genevieve was a graduate of Leavittsburg High School.  A member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, she was a thirty-year volunteer at Warren General Hospital and also volunteered with the Red Cross.  She enjoyed vacations, shopping, and having lunch with good friends.

Precious memories of Genevieve live on with her daughter, Nancy Jo Keyser-Miller (Shawn) of Garrettsville; two grandchildren, Kevin Lee Keyser and Amanda Marie Dean (Aaron); one great-granddaughter, Madison Nicole Dean.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Clarence and Zora Allard; her beloved husband of nearly seventy years, John F. Thellman, whom she married May 21, 1946 and who passed December 29, 2015; and one brother, Clarence “Bud” Allard, Jr.

Services are 10:00 am Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 9:00 to 10:00 am Saturday at the funeral  home. Masks are required, and social distancing practices will be observed.
