MINERAL RIDGE – Gary W. Nelitz, age 68, passed away peacefully Friday, February 5, 2021 at Continuing Health Care at the Ridge. He was born July 4, 1952 in Sharon, Pa., the son of Leo and Ann Nelitz,

A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Gary worked for Ellwood Engineering Castings as a tow motor operator, and also for Sharon Steel. He was a good dad and grandpa and enjoyed motorcycles.

He is sadly missed by two children, Nathan Nelitz of Sharon, Pa. and Brandee Akins of Mercer, Pa.; seven grandchildren; one sister, Helen Huffman of West Middlesex, Pa.; one brother, Leo Nelitz (Patti) of West Middlesex, Pa.; and the mother of his three children, Karen Akins.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Leo and Anna Nelitz, and one son, Ryan Nelitz.
