Frank Morrison

HOWLAND – Frank Morrison, age 94, entered his heavenly home Friday, October 13, 2023 at home with family attending him.  He was born August 11, 1929 in South Bend, Ind., the son of Paul and Hazel (Conn) Morrison, moving to Ohio in 1988 and the Warren area in 1999.

Frank earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Purdue University.  His career was in education, retiring as director of the Upper Wabash Vocational School in Wabash, Ind.  Frank was stationed in Germany from 1952-1954 while serving in the U.S. Army.  He and his wife, Delores, took full advantage of that time to travel and explore Europe.  Frank was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Warren; he loved his church and he loved his Lord.  Frank enjoyed fishing, golf, mushroom hunting, playing euchre, and most recently, bocce competition with friends.

Loving memories of Frank live on with his daughter, LeeAnn Shaffer (Jerry) of West Farmington; four grandsons: Ryan (Irene) of Frederick, Md., Ken (Casey) of Cortland, Joel of Boston, Mass., and Joshua Shaffer (Andrea) of Cortland; six great-grandchildren: Derek, Brett, Emma, Grady, Vivian, and Nina Shaffer; and his four-legged best friend, Bubba.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his beloved wife of sixty-eight years, Delores (Moberg) Morrison, whom he married September 5, 1952 and who passed December 18, 2020; and a brother, Richard Morrison.

Calling hours are 10:00 to 11:00 am Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park.
