Fairy Coleman

NILES – Fairy Coleman, age 97, entered into eternal rest Monday, August 3, 2020 at Austintown Health Care.  She was born May 30, 1923 in Lone Star, S.C., the daughter of James and Mary Whaley, and had lived in Ohio since 1949.

Fairy had worked as a cosmetologist and in her own business.  She was the Church Mother at Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Niles and enjoyed sewing, cooking, making quilts, planting flowers, playing cards, and collecting elephants.

Precious memories of Fairy live on with niece, Mary Olden of Dayton, Ohio, who loved her and misses her; her church family, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who thought the world of her and loved her dearly.

Preceding her in death are her parents, James and Mary Whaley; her beloved husband, Daniel Coleman; her son, Carlton Coleman; five sisters; and six brothers.

Services are 11:00 am Friday, August 14, 2020 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Scott officiating.  Interment will follow at Niles Union Cemetery.  Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home. Her shining example and many years will be sorely missed.
