Elaine S (Wiles) Martin

Elaine S. “Mimi” Martin, 83, of Warren, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 3:54 p.m. at Mercy Health St. Joseph Warren Hospital surrounded by her family.

Elaine was born Monday, November 9, 1936 in Tunnelton, West Virginia the daughter of the late Edward and Daisy Riley Wiles.

Elaine grew up on a farm and enjoyed singing and modeling. 

She moved to Warren, Ohio, where she met her husband Vincent R. Martin. 

Elaine was active in her church the former St. Pius X Catholic Church in Warren and was always busy with her husband at their family owned busines, Parkman Road Pizza Shop.

Although she was tiny, she was a giant presence in her families lives.  She loved to cook for her two sons, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Elaine is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Martin with whom she made her home in Warren, Paul (Kim) Martin also of Warren; two sisters Rosie Eckenrode of Warren and Naomi (Johnny) Shahan of Tunnelton; a brother Jerry (Betty) Wiles of Amherst and her grandchildren Sara, Andrea and Jesse and her great grandson Vincent. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

She will be missed but always remembered.  We love you Mimi; a bushel and a peck.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to Second Harvest Food Bank.
