CORTLAND – Edward L. Burnick, age 64, lifelong area resident; entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 3, 2021. He was born March 19, 1956 in Warren, the son of Edward and Dolores A. (Vivoda) Burnick.
Ed graduated from Mathews High School and earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Youngstown State University. Together with his father, he owned and operated Burnick’s TV Repair in Cortland, and later managed his sister’s dental office. He had several tractors and loved working in the yard. He also enjoyed golfing with his sons.
He is sadly missed by his five sons: Edward of Houston, Tex., Michael of Houston, Tex., David (Lisa Smith) of Herriman, Utah, Jeffrey of Acworth, Ga., and Daniel Burnick (Megan) of Aurora, Colo.; three grandchildren: James, Madison, and Liam Burnick; and other family and friends who thought so much of him.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Edward and Dolores Burnick, and his twin sisters, Cheryl Burnick and Kathleen M. Burnick Plawky, D.D.S.
Services are 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Interment at All Souls Cemetery will follow. Friends may call 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Masks are required, and social distancing practices will be observed.
