Dorothy "Dotty" A. (Tenaglio) Prince

Dorothy A. “Dotty” Prince, 88, of Warren, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 5:10 a.m. at Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge of natural causes.

Dotty was born in Albany, New York on June 5, 1933 to the late Nicholas Sr. and Jennie Mancini Tenaglio.

She held many jobs throughout her lifetime but is best remembered for running her own beauty salon out of her home and dabbling in real estate.

Dotty grew up in the Italian neighborhoods of Warren’s westside.  The fourth of five children, she was preceded in death by brothers Rocco “Rocky” and Carmen Tenaglio, and by her sister Violet Ljubicich.  She is survived by her youngest brother Nicholas Tenaglio Jr. of Montclair, California.

Young beyond her years, Dotty was adored by friends and family alike.  Whether you knew her as Mom, Grandma, Aunty Dotty, or just Dot, her door was always open no matter the time of day or night with a warm cup of coffee and a sympathetic ear.

Dotty’s three children and six grandchildren were the lights of her life.  She was a loving mom to son, Daniel Prince, who preceded her in death on March 2, 2021, and daughters Denise Marsh and Diane Prince both of Warren, who will both miss their mom more that words can convey.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Daniel Prince Jr. of Gainesville, Fl, Troy Marsh, Dante Prince, and Jennifer Dunbar of Warren, and Marc Dunbar of Niles; grandson Jeremy Marsh awaits her arrival in heaven.

Special thanks to Lisa Lapan and Amy Shimek who took special care of Dorothy in her later years and a thank you to the attentive and caring staff of CHC at the Ridge.

Our hearts are broken but we know we will see her again and until then, may she rejoice in being reunited with her parents, siblings, son and grandson.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, there will be no public services.  A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 6. 2022 at Howland Township Cemetery.
