Dorothy M. Nielsen

WARREN – Dorothy M. Nielsen, age 99, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 30, 2023 after a long and glorious life at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. She was born June 9, 1924 in Cleveland, the daughter of Fred and Minnie (Wesley) Kremm.

Dorothy graduated from Collinwood High School in Cleveland and was of the Christian faith. She had worked as an office clerk for U.S. Steel.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, shopping, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Precious memories of Dorothy live on with her son, Gary A. Nielsen (Jayne) of Mantua; her daughter, Lynn E. Boyles (Michael) of Andover; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her beloved husband of forty-six years, Axel Nielsen, whom she married July 14, 1956 and who passed February 7, 2003; one granddaughter; and five brothers.

Calling hours and services will be scheduled at a later date.  Her remains will be laid to rest in a niche at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, next to her late husband.
