Donald R. Gintert

Warren - Donald R. Gintert, 94, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 20, 2023. He was born on August 16, 1928, in Warren, Ohio, son of the late Russell and Eva Stocker Gintert.

Donald was a veteran of the Army where he served as a paratrooper for United States Army Air Corps during WWII in occupied Japan. He was also a retiree of Packard Electric.

He was a member of the Champion Bird Dog Club and trained English Pointers. He enjoyed hunting with his dogs and fishing at Campbell Fort in Ontario Canada.

Donald is survived by his wife, Geraldine Forrest Gintert; sons, Donald A. Gintert (Sandy), Mark F. Gintert (Lisa), Tim Gintert (Cheryl), Patrick Gintert (Elise), and Brad Gintert (Andrea); daughters, Nancy Little (Tom), Jody Faught (Ronnie) and Mary Beth Lennox (Steve); brother James Gintert (Betty): sister, Judith Gill; twenty grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Scott Little and daughter-in-law Francis Gintert.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 am on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 am at the funeral home.
