David C. Baudo, 79, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Apr 28, 2022 at 5:30pm.
He was born on February 24, 1943, in New Hyde Park, NY, the son of Salvatore & Margaret Clark Baudo.
David graduated from Farmingdale University with a degree in building construction and the University of Oklahoma, Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, with a degree in Architecture. He worked as an architect in New York, Florida, and Ohio. His interest was always building codes and he served on the national board of building code standards. After retiring from the Trumbull County Building Department as their Chief Building Official, David worked for Dynatek Telecommunications as their architect. He had the distinct honor of being licensed in every state, plus Puerto Rico and Canada.
He was drafted into the army and served in Vietnam in the 199th Light Infantry Brigade as a specialist 5th class Infantry Operations and Intelligence.
He was a proud member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 11, and of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
On June 2, 1979, he married Lorri Gintert Baudo and they shared 42 years of marriage.
Besides his wife, David is survived by his son, Matthew, of Toledo, and his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Maria, of Lubbock, Texas. He is also survived by his in-laws, Jim and Betty Gintert, sister-in-law, Susan Dellinger, brother-in-law and his wife, Jim and Lynda Gintert, and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, G. Charles Baudo, and his sister, Margaret Wallis Junge.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 14th, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, at 3:30 pm with military honors. Family and friends may greet the family from 2:30 pm until the time of the service. David will be interred in the columbarium at St. Paul Lutheran Church 2860 E Market St, Warren, OH 44483.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 2860 E Market St, Warren Ohio or the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 11 in Warren.
