Danny L Showalter

Danny L. Showalter, 67, of Howland Township, entered peacefully into eternal life on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 1:09 p.m. in his home following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born November 28, 1954 in Warren the son of the late Herman Sr. and Delores Holland Showalter and was a lifelong area resident.

Danny graduated from Howland High School in 1973, and was a veteran of the United States Army from 1974 to 1976.

He retired from Denman Tire and was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and camping.

Danny married the love of his life Janice Compton on March 26, 1977. He leaves to cherish his memory his  four children; Alissa Mason, Courtney (John Johnson) Stevens, Joshua (Elizabeth) Showalter and Lacey (Zachary) Chaney; grandchildren; CJ (Breanna), Casia, Taylor, Callee, Isabella, Johnny, Gideon, and Elvie; and two great granddaughters; Eleanor and Ava whom he loved with all his heart.  Danny is also survived by three sisters and one brother. 

Besides his parents, Danny was preceded in death by one brother and a nephew.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours and a Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
