Cynthia A. Ambrose

WEATHERSFIELD – Cynthia A. Ambrose, age 62, lifelong area resident, entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 2, 2021, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.  She was born October 21, 1958 in Warren, the daughter of John and Clara (Moening) Chengelis.

Cindy was a 1977 graduate of Howland High School.  A strong woman who was full of life, she worked for Classic Optical for nine years.  Prior to that, she was employed with Packard Electric and Delphi Electronics.  An avid bowler who had bowled in many leagues, she loved the outdoors and had a special fondness for four-wheeling and motorcycles.

Precious memories of Cindy live on with her companion, Bob Whittaker, Sr. of Mineral Ridge, with whom she had been together since July 3, 2016; her friend who was like a sister, Judy Harrison of Vienna; her close friends Denise Bianco and Jody Fox of Niles; her two Labradors who were her world, Lucy and Bella; and many other friends who adored her and miss her dearly.

Preceding her in death are her parents, John and Clara Chengelis; her beloved husband, Mark Ambrose, whom she married August 4, 2006 and who passed November 15, 2014; and her Labrador, Spider, who passed last year.

Services are 11:00 am Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Kerr Cemetery.  Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home.  Masks are required, and social distancing practices will be observed.
